At the invitation of Risa Shiromine, Kaede Honjou logs into the virtual reality MMORPG New World Online as her character, Maple. Despite her lack of gaming experience, she invests all her status points into defense. As a result, Maple is sluggish, incapable of using magic, and constantly targeted by rabbits.
