“Are you really that afraid of this school of magic?” A young man named Ark walks through the royal capital on the day of the Magic Academy's entrance examination. In a world where a person's strength is determined by their school of magic, Ark belongs to no school at all. Nevertheless, he remains optimistic and determined to pass the examination. However, he suddenly comes across a horrifying scene: an examinee has been burned to a crisp. The examination's objective is simple: defeat the other applicants. Although the battle has already been decided, the victorious examinee continues to attack his defeated opponent. As the severely burned victim screams in agony, the townspeople abandon him and flee. With everyone else having given up on saving him, Ark prepares his magic and steps into battle. His opponent belongs to one of the strongest schools of magic in the world, while Ark has no school whatsoever. Naturally, he stands no chance against such an overwhelming enemy and gradually finds himself cornered. But at the very moment defeat seems inevitable, the final teaching of his master echoes through his mind. And so, a new legend begins.
